So from that perspective I wouldn't buy one, I much prefer a good Japanese bike myself. My comparison was based on the cbr600 not the RC211V. Feel free to use wikipedia to confirm facts.

Feb 13, 2012 - Problem with the Italian bikes is that they charge rip off prices for what the vehicle is. New Ducati 848 is like 30,000 in aus or something around there. New Japanese 600cc is 16,000 tops. Is it worth the extra 15g, imo not really. Great bike but not worth the money. Comparing titles is pointless really Honda has won heaps of super sport titles over Ducati.
