Nov 8, 2011 - Actually, he's right. Even at the top level, MotoGP bikes are still lapping slower than F1 cars- due to basic physics.  On an F1 car, you have four contact patches and much less lateral acceleration on each tire (relative to the vehicle). I love MotoGP- I think it takes more rider skill than F1 does driver skill (Val. Rossi stepping into F1 for the first time and lapping 1 sec. off Michael Schumacher after 3 days of driving an F1 car!!!) but F1 IS faster.

Oct 15, 2011 - F1 and superbikes already are non-road legal :p also turbocharging a bike wont change the fact that F1 is faster cause the acceleration is already really close to each other but the F1 is faster cause it brakes much better and it can go tru corners much faster. and come on dragraces....i would like to see a dragbike vs F1 on Suzuka racetrack. Dragbikes use 4 gallons of gas on 1/4mile and it has 6 gallon cappacity so it cant even race tru the first straight of the track.

Jul 25, 2011 - From a pure acceleration point of view, even a stock '04 or newer R1, GSX-R1000, 10R, etc. motorcycle goes toe to toe with an F1 car up to about 150 mph (240 kph). However, yes in the braking, cornering, and top speed business, it is not comparable.

We cant compare the excitement of driving vs riding, if we experienced a superbike and.....a minivan. The one car that is on the comparable price level with superbikes and is as fast (or faster) is ariel atom

Jun 25, 2011 - i know that, but the thrill you get from the acceleration when you are on a 2 wheeled bike is different then inside any car. Also cornering on a bike isnt as fast as in a car but you are leaning almost 90 degrees to the ground, youre using your whole body racing the bike and leaving the corner with faster acceleration. And people dont just lose interest, 99.99999% of people just cant afford a ferrari or any other supercar :p
