May 12, 2012 - I own a K8 Ltd Gen2 and I really don't believe there is much difference in top speed in any of the top five bikes out there. It really comes down to the physique of the rider and how they fit on the bike as well as how they wrangle every last bit of horse power from the engine. I personally came up beside a 2009 model ZX14 a week or two ago on the road and we both looked at each other and gave a friendly nod. There was no stupidity about finding out which of our bikes was that tiny bit faster.

May 8, 2012 - MV Agusta F4 312 is technically the fastest production motorcycle due to the fact that japanese bikes are now limited to 300km/h or 186 mph, and yes they are limited, motorcycle speedo's are a certain percentage of error. However, i think without the limit the hayabusa will be faster.....

Apr 24, 2012 - maybe the kawasaki 1400 they all are fast

tiwalterite Says:

Apr 22, 2012 - It's even mentioned in this video that building an engine with a lot of horsepower is easy; the Suzuki Hayabusa has world renowned aerodynamics that enable it to keep with any bike with fewer CCs, e.g. the Kawasaki ZX14R. The Suzuki Hayabusa hasn't changed at all since 2008. I am curious to see what Suzuki releases in 2013 in retaliation to the 2012 Kawasaki ZX14R. I owned a K9 Suzuki Hayabusa and I wouldn't ride anything else. I've ridden an R1, a ZX10R and I tried the S1000RR. Hayabusa FTW!

Apr 12, 2012 - IT'S EASY TO KNOW YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN ON A BMW S1000RR.I OWN ONE AND RECOMMEND U TO BUY ONE AND EXPERIENCE THE SURGE OF SPEED BETWEEN 10,500RPM AND 14,000RPM.NO OTHER BIKE COMES CLOSE.U SHOULDN'T BE MAKING COMMENTS IF YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN A DYNO SHOOTOUT OF AN S1000.IT MAKES 20BHP MORE THAN A BUSA ABOVE 10,000RPM.SORRY BUT I BELIEVE MORE MAGAZINE SHOOTOUTS AND DYNOS THAN YOUR COMMENTS.AND REST ASSURED THAT I WILL NEVER BE SELLING MY 197KG/193BHP BMW FOR A 261KG/174BHP BUSA

Apr 11, 2012 - it easy to know u have never been on a busa! ..... i have a 2000 busa with airbrush graphics and all the power i could ever need, i like other bikes i got a cbr too but nothing compares to the power! i recomend u buy a busa and the ride it cause if u have speeded on a borrowed bike u shouldnt be making coments based on magazine notes on "other bikes" !!!! with all respect! peace out

sevenrats Says:

Apr 8, 2012 - How does one come to own both of those bikes? Why?

sevenrats Says:

Apr 8, 2012 - That is all true but as a highway bike there is nothing better than the Busa or the ZX-14R.

sevenrats Says:

Apr 8, 2012 - The 2012 Kawasaki ZX-14R is faster. If you took the limiters off of both the they would be the fastest production bikes in the world by far. They both would be over 200 mph. This years rendition of the 14 is spectacular. They both go so fast that it's really stupid to argue about which one is better. Buy the one you like. I sat on a 14 at a show. It starts whispering to you..."let's go baby let's go....I am saying this as neutral observer. I own neither bike. I ride a Triumph.

Mar 28, 2012 - So if I read your reply correctly, you are admitting that the 1999-2000 Busa which has not been limited in speed like the later models, and is the bike shown in this video, is faster then all the bikes you listed. This also means your comment that a lot of literbikes have caught up to the Busa is not true. FYI: You can easily remove the limiter on the later year Busa's by cutting one wire and connecting a 6-ohm resistor in series of the wire. The Busa II that came out in 2007, is faster.

GSXR1300X Says:

Mar 27, 2012 - my 01 does 95 in 1st according to gps and has 72k miles on the odo. So you are correct.

GSXR1300X Says:

Mar 27, 2012 - this video was made several years ago...geeezzz

GSXR1300X Says:

Mar 27, 2012 - Keep in mind that this video is several years old.. the busa on this video is the first year 1999 model and would do 194 off the showroom. In late 2000 fear on an import ban led to an accord between japanese and european manufacturers to govern the top speed to around 186.
