May 22, 2012 - That's cool how you made this video for Alan Jackson. P.S. I saw him in Concert a couple of years ago and he sang this song and showed the video as well.
May 20, 2012 - Daddy, youre In Heaven now,I loved It when you let me drive that old Ford truck down the old dump road,I went down there last week,I could still hear the engine and I swear I could here you laughing and Ill never forget when I asked you what was wrong and you said there was a nut loose behind the wheel,I love you daddy.I miss you so bad.I let my boy drive the same road,he wants to go drive In the morning and were going, please be there again.Love Mark.
May 16, 2012 - People used to use 'Jeep' as a generic term for a 4 wheel drive. Ive herd people in the Caribbean refer to there mitsu as a Jeep. Kinda like saying Kleenex if you want a tissue.
May 16, 2012 - It was an old white International Harvester I learned to drive first, and like Alan says ...... smiling like a hero. Thanks pops for the memories that will never die.
May 13, 2012 - first tractor i remember driving was a small john deere lawn tractor then my dad trusted me to drive the old rowboat with a 7.5 pull start motor on it and now im 16 and i drive his 08 sierra and can drive better than most people at my school.im glad my dad taught me to drive and im gonna teach my kids to drive at a young age too.i also gotta say i love my mom but she hasnt taught me how to drive to much instead she taught me how to rope cattle and ride horses.
May 13, 2012 - When my team at The Illusion Factory was making this video for Alan Jackson, my father was dying of lung cancer. Each day I would spend with the team working out animation techniques and each night it would be with my dad, holding him and helping him to make his transition. We finished making this video on the last day possible, and I sent it fed ex to Nashville and shared this with my dad that night. He told me he was very proud of me and then he passed away. The video won Music Video of Year
May 12, 2012 - Just an old plywood boat , 75 Jhonson , electric choke. Young boy two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel, I would turn her sharp,I'd make it wide , and He'd say you can't beat the way an old wood boat rides. Just a little late across the Alabama line , but I was king of the ocean when Daddy let me ride. <3
May 10, 2012 - I absolutely love this song but has anyone noted the major error in the video? When he sings about "a worn out Jeep" it's clearly a Ford Bronco...I'm not trying to start a fight I was just taught to drive by my dad on a 76 Jeep Cj-5 and thats what I pictured when I listened to this song and I have to say I was only slightly disappointed when I first saw this video and it was a Ford Bronco...
May 10, 2012 - I remember driving my grandpa's truck out on his farm. I felt Queen of everything.
Now, as I am learning to drive,
The first thing I drove was my grandpa's truck.
It was just a piece of land,
an ol' thing we have had forever,
Young girl, two hands on the wheel.
Loving the high,
Of behind the wheel.
This is for you Daddy, for dealing with my bad breaking. :D
And for grandpa, and his calmness when I got to close to the curb. :D
May 9, 2012 - When I was little, my parents had this music video on VHS and they would put it in for me all the time because I loved it so much-- couldn't keep my eyes off it. I haven't seen this video for over 15 years, but I still love Alan Jackson. Thanks Mom and Dad.
