May 23, 2012 - As you know, the other Phil Philips is the new "American Idol" winner, not this Phil Philips, the one who did "Sea of Love". The Honeydrippers also covered this great song.
May 19, 2012 - ''lipstick on your collar'',''16 candles'',''a white sportcoat'',''only you'',''dream lover'',''too young,'' ''duke of earl,'' ''kansas city,'' ''that's amore,'' ''april love,'' ''blue suede shoes,'' ''venus,'' ''honeycomb,''''poor little fool,'' ''earth angel,,'' ''all shook up,'' ''why do fools fall in love''. just say the titles of these songs today and everyone that knows great music of the 50's to 1963 will know these songs.you don't even have to say the artist.
May 18, 2012 - I bet no one in a million years ever dreamed this song would later be covered by the lead singer of Led Zepplin (Robert Plant) in a band called The Honeydrippers!
May 18, 2012 - At my senior prom night in 1963, my beautiful steady of just 13 months, made a promise to each other that this will be our song. 49 years later I still have my beautiful steady, Gail, my wife and on May 1st of 2012 we celebrated our 48 years of a wonderful marrage. I love her more than words could ever express, and thankful she put up with me for all these years.
I still remember as it was today making that promise as we danced to, "The Sea Of Love"
May 13, 2012 - It seems like a hundred years ago now, but this was the first song that I heard while holding hands with my first puppy love girlfriend of age 13. The year was 1959 and innocents was the name of the game. The world was different and I believe a better place then. Now that I look back on it, it was the best of times and they go bye so quickly. Just ask 78 million Baby Boomers. Great Song from a one hit wonder. Ron--Highway Stars Magzine
