May 25, 2012 - AND SO IT BEGINS: On this day in 1977 {May 25th} "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope" had its world premier in the U.S.A.
It's European premier would be in September at the Deauville Film Festival in France...
May 25, 2012 - This is a day long remembered in the history of cinema. Wednesday, May 25, 1977 was the date when the first 'Star Wars' (later to be subtitled 'Episode IV - A New Hope') was released in only 32 movie theaters before given a wider release in more locales. Given 10 Academy Award nominations including six wins, this movie defined modern cinema forever in many ways.
Happy 35th anniversary to one of the best movies ever made.
May 25, 2012 - If you don't like movies set in space, they why did you come here? I don't understand why the concept of science fiction bothers you but I think you'll have to unleash your imagination more than just silly romantic comedies or teenage vampires sparkling in sunlight. Think of the better dreams out there than the problems happening in the world now. Calm down.
And never, ever use the word "gay" when you're describing something that is bad; it's insulting.
May 25, 2012 - i thought you could get the original versions on double disc dvd, i myself still have my pirate versions from 83' on vhs, iv also got the tv versions,
