Diana Krall has had a long time fascination with bossa nova, a type of music which perfectly suits her sophisticated yet sensual style. This culminated in her new studio album Quiet Nights (released by Verve in spring 2009) and in this stunning concert filmed in the home of the bossa nova, Rio de Janeiro, in November 2008. Accompanied by her band and an orchestra, Diana Krall delivers a superb set of standards in true bossa nova style but clearly bearing her unique stamp. This DVD captures Diana Krall at her scintillating best.

May 22, 2012 - I don't agree that only children need to be educated. I'm an adult (a teacher, too) and I was educated just now. You're conversation has taught me a lesson about wasted time. Abby, you sound lovely. Gentlemen...really? I understand the temptation to contribute, clearly, but I am already mourning the loss of the five minutes I wasted reading and replying to this thread.

May 17, 2012 - experience is experience it doesn't mean that your sad and bitter, it just means you've been around enough to know what reallyhappens. youre sa stupid naive person i hope someone hurts you really bad good day
TheViolander Says:
May 17, 2012 - The majority of people. Because unlike you - most people arent sad, and don't judge the 'quality' of a woman by who she dated. I am blocking your pathetic lonely ass now, so just last comment I already told you how I feel about you, but just incase If you are seeking attention, whether its negative or positive, I advise you to do it some other way. None cares about a bitter sad person's opinion, if you want some communication you should find another, more social way.

May 17, 2012 - :)
elvispresley718 Says:
May 17, 2012 - you dont need to educate adults just children . who say you're right?
AbbyBologa Says:
May 17, 2012 - ok
elvispresley718 Says:
May 17, 2012 - sometimes old men have seen lots of white skanks get involved with n***ers and end up in a bad way. after that, who wants anything to do with them anyway?
elvispresley718 Says:
May 17, 2012 - I'm not free to express my distaste for this hag? i don;t like her style, get over it. she would be working at burger king if she were not considered by some(not me) attractive. elvis costello is a punk for getting involved with her.
TheViolander Says:
May 17, 2012 - Well being mean to a bastard takes hardly any time out of my day, and whilst it does not 'change' anything - at least the people know that racists/sexists are hated by people, which in the future might prevent others from acting like racist bigots.
AbbyBologa Says:
May 17, 2012 - Totally agree. I had family members and [past] friends where I had to get angry. Then next question: how much energy do I want to spend on this person? I had to then ask myself where do I want to allocate my energy? That's why I in the field I'm. I realize I have more of an impact to my community when I "educate" my point of view to others. I'm a "realist" too. I've come to realize that this route takes patience. What kind of world do you envision? I hope you go for it and make it yours. :)
TheViolander Says:
May 17, 2012 - Whilst I agree that educating someone in your manner is a good, productive way - I am also a realist. You should realise that some people will not change, no matter what. Especially when it comes to people with limited education, who were raised to believe one thing and one thing only, even more so when those people are at an age where they will simply refuse to accept any other point of view. The only other option left is an angry one - it's to tell them how you fell about their existence.
AbbyBologa Says:
May 17, 2012 - Aren't there only that many notes A to G? That's 7. Wow. I can't even sing two notes. LOL. And flight attendant? Yummy! BTW, I did check out that other artist. He's talented. I'm more into the Allman Brothers. I'm going to see them in concert with Santana. Can't wait. And I love Elvis too. Mr elvispresley718, can you just accept I love this singer? How come your not on other threads spreading the love of your music? I'd be happier to chat with you in that context. Be well.
AbbyBologa Says:
May 17, 2012 - Sweet heart I know the feeling of being degraded. I'm queer, Asian and a woman and also a health practitioner/coach. I'm in the field of teaching people how to overcome inner fears. When you respond back to the person with an equal amount of energy that translates to anger all you do is only add to their belief that world is a dark place. Responding is fuel to his fire. He wants attention. To shift his reality you have to respond in way you want him to be. So kindness is another route. Be well.
TheViolander Says:
May 16, 2012 - Oh i already understand your racist side. I simply stated the reasons as to why you are suck a dick. Literally you are an old dude (and I was taught to respect my elders) - who I pity. If you were right infront of me - I would tell you just how pathetic and sad you are. Your life is fucked up and you hate people because of it. You...are....sad
elvispresley718 Says:
May 16, 2012 - i just dont like white women who screw n***ers what's wrong with that? some people dont like smoking. does that make them bad? nicole brown simpson, does that name ring a bell?
TheViolander Says:
May 16, 2012 - oh, so you really are a 77 year old sad man? hahahaha. well that actually explains a lot. You know - I hear a lot about sad, lonely, bitter old fucks like you - but never actually spoke to one. I am sorry for you, I really am. I cannot imagine how crappy and shitty your life must have been that you grew up into this sad, racist old man.
elvispresley718 Says:
May 16, 2012 - just like my profile says dont you know most rappers and jazz musicians are racist? but i'd bet you'd be willing to give them a pass. you don;t make any sense. there's nothing wrong with me.
elvispresley718 Says:
May 16, 2012 - she has a range of about five or six notes, i thnk she should get a job as a flight attendant. and she soundz like she's got a cold, loretta lynn or tammy wynette could have taught her a thing or two.
TheViolander Says:
May 16, 2012 - awww, did you get abused by some people? well you would have deserved it your racist fuck. Again how old are you?
elvispresley718 Says:
May 15, 2012 - Do you want to hear some david allan coe? some real music?
AbbyBologa Says:
May 15, 2012 - never been on a cruise ship. in my world yes i call that singing. and apparently the millions of fans that support her do to. based on your many responses here you like attention don't you? you can be as right at you want sir. free speech is a beautiful thing, isn't it? I'm just wondering what purpose do you serve to the world with your words. Diana's words bring a little joy in mine. I hope you find joy in yours as well.
